  • South West Growth Fund stimulating the regional economy

    Ambitious businesses are benefiting from the South West Growth Fund, an £8.7million fund that is set to create 1,136 new jobs. Ninety businesses across the region, from Gloucestershire to Cornwall, have now received grants of up to £1million to improve infrastructure and accelerate their growth.

  • On TRAC for global growth - TRAC joins the PharmaLex Group

    As of 10th November 2017, the PharmaLex Group, a leading specialist provider of development consulting, regulatory affairs, quality management & compliance, as well as pharmacovigilance, has completed the formal merger with TRAC Services Ltd (TRAC).

    TRAC, based in Redruth, was founded in 2001 by Jonathan and Sarah Trethowan. The company offers a full suite of regulatory affairs services to the global pharmaceutical industry and works with a variety of clients from SMEs to large multinational corporations.

  • Plymouth University academic receives award for work to enhance understanding of the geosciences

    An academic at the University of Plymouth has been presented with an international award in recognition of his efforts to enthuse the public about geology.

    Iain Stewart, Professor of Geoscience Communication and Director of the Sustainable Earth Institute, received the Outstanding Contribution to Public Understanding of the Geosciences award from the American Geosciences Institute (AGI).

  • Cornwall Innovation staff sleep out at Eden for charity

    Around 100 people braved a long, chilly night in the open air at the Eden Project on 9th November to help raise vital funds for homeless people.

    They grabbed as much rest as they could lying on hard ground in sleeping bags under an awning in front of the Eden Biomes. Amongst those were three of our own team from the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre, Truro: Elaine Dyer, Keiley Nokes and Sarah Roy.

  • Self employed are the ‘least stressed’

    New research out this week busts some of the most prevalent myths about being self-employed in today’s Britain.

    According to the AXA Business Insurance survey, part of the company’s annual Stress Index, those working for themselves are “less stressed, have a better work-life balance and better mental wellbeing than everyone else”.

  • TRAC Services employee wins TOPRA award

    Following TRAC's 2016 TOPRA Education Award category shortlisting, TRAC team members Graham Donaldson and Oliver Rick were both shortlisted within the 2017 TOPRA Award categories with Oliver winning his category.
